The multinational company, Google headquartered in the USA has recently invested in a property in central London, which will accommodate approximately ten thousand people.

Ever since the pandemic began, companies adapted to a hybrid style of working, giving flexibility to their employees.

Major firms such as the big four, made work from home a mandatory calling for its employees for two years.

However, recent surveys and ease of covid restrictions are making employees willing to come back to office spaces.

Google is acquiring the Central Saint Giles. A property located in central London, of which it has been a tenant for a while.

This proves that the search engine giant is making sure its workforce has ample space and is ready for a social distance environment, making it covid safe work for all.

Rishi Sunak, chancellor of the UK, embraced the investment made by the tech firm in the country and called it a huge vote of confidence in the UK, as a “world-leading tech hub”.

“We want to reinvigorate the work environment while making this commitment to rebuilding. We’re purchasing these properties and we’re eager to see everybody come back”, said Google UK’s head Ronan Harris, in an interview with the BBC.

He also added that this huge investment will reflect the company’s faith in the office space and will be construed by others as a designated place of work, therefore increasing its belief in its employees.

Google plans to include plenty of space, to make it covid safe and keep social distancing norms in mind. It will also involve a designated area exclusively for working together.

They are planning to include meeting rooms which would be catering to hybrid Worklife with plenty of outdoor spaces too.

The organization is being optimistic for its office spaces, by inculcating a three-day attendance in its office in a week for all its employees.

It is looking forward for the covid-19 restrictions to be eased soon, as per the ongoing guidelines provided by the government, where work from home has been mandated wherever necessary.

However, Mr. Harris speculates that the upcoming next two years would be on a trial and error basis. Which will depend on the ever-changing global situation.

This would mean that they are open to trying the true meaning of hybrid and flexible working. Experimenting with what works for both the company and its employees.

Renowned for its modern state of the art and flexible workspaces. Google holds one of the most coveted business positions, providing a plethora of perks and bonuses to its workforce.

Being the leading tech company, whatever steps Google takes. It will be no surprise if other companies follow suit.
