Brand Directory has compiled a list of the most valuable brands in 2022. According to their analysis, the value of these companies is expected to increase in 2022. The list was dominated by American brands/companies.

The top ten brands are all from the United States, with seven of the ten slots occupied by American brands. This suggests that American businesses will fare exceptionally well in 2022. This valuation is done by Brand Directory and is not based on the brand’s market capitalization.

The top ten most valuable brands in 2022 globally are as follows:

    1. Apple

    2. Amazon

    3. Google

    4. Microsoft

    5. Walmart

    6. Samsung Group

    7. Facebook

    8. ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China)

    9. Huawei

    10. Verizon

    most valuable brands in 2022

In 2022, Apple will still be the most valuable brand. This was also the company’s status in 2021. From 2021 onwards, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft all retained their positions. Samsung Group fell one slot to sixth place, while Walmart rose one notch to fifth place.

Facebook and ICBC keep their seventh and eighth places, respectively, while Huawei climbs one spot to number one and Verizon falls to tenth place.

    Apple

Apple had a fantastic year in 2021, capped off by becoming the first business to reach a market worth $3 trillion at the start of 2022. The company’s success in the past was based on honing its core brand positioning, but its recent expansion can be credited to its awareness that its brand can be applied to a considerably larger range of services.

The iPhone continues to account for roughly half of Apple’s sales. Moreover, with a new generation of iPads, a revamp of the iMac, and the launch of AirTags, Apple focused more on its other goods this year. Apple’s suite of services, which includes everything from Apple Pay to Apple TV, has grown in popularity.

    Google

Google’s brand worth increased by 38 percent to US$263.4 billion. The majority of the brand’s revenue comes from advertising, and it was hit hard at the onset of the epidemic when advertising spending decreased owing to uncertainty. However, when the world acclimated to the new normal and people spent more time online, advertising budgets reopened and Google’s company recovered, resulting in a healthy increase in brand value.

    Samsung

Samsung Group, situated in South Korea, has a brand worth US$107.3 billion in 2022, up 5% from last year, allowing it to maintain its long-held status as Asia-most Pacific’s valuable brand, although falling to 6th in the global list, overtaken by Walmart. WeChat is still the most powerful brand in the region and the world?

As a result of new product launches, Samsung‘s revenues have increased. The company has excelled over its competitors with strong sales in their chip manufacturing industry despite a global supply chain issue and high demand for memory chips. Samsung is also building a new computer chip facility in Texas costing US$17 billion to accommodate consumer demand.

    Huawei

As of Q4 2021, Huawei had lost out to China’s Top 5 smartphone brands in terms of market share. In comparison to its 23 percent market share in Q4 2020, the corporation now only has 7% of the Chinese smartphone market, a threefold decrease from the previous year. Despite this, Huawei’s overall market value remained stable. Instead, the company’s worth has risen to become one of the top ten most valuable brands in the world by 2022.

    Walmart

Walmart, one of the retail sector’s best performers, continues to enjoy brand value growth this year and recaptured its spot in the top 5, jumping from 6th to 5th after a 20% increase in brand value to US$111.9 billion.

It already had a top-tier physical presence, and it invested in its e-commerce skills at the onset of the pandemic, which has continued to pay off. It increased its use of technology to select and pack customers’ online grocery orders if the demand for pickup and delivery would persist after the pandemic ended.

    Conclusion

According to the Brand Directory Global 500 2022 report, Apple is the world’s most valuable brand in 2022, based recent research. Other tech giants, such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Facebook or Meta, Huawei, and Verizon, trail Apple. Walmart ranked fifth, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, ranked eighth, are the only two non-tech corporations in the top ten.
